Working with Land Owners, specialist providers and Consultants - Girls and Boys of Great Britain seek to deliver Affordable Housing options to built up areas and rural communities, specifically for those with local connections to their village or community.
Girls and Boys of Great Britain work alongside a specialist Land Sourcing company called YourLandAgency in seeking plots of land suitable for Affordable Housing.
Once suitable sites are found, YourLandAgency undertake an assessment of the site to understand its suitability for housing. Currently Girls and Boys of Great Britain are looking at a few different site locations and property type. This includes modular housing, static caravan housing and bespoke individual plots suitable for small dwellings.
These sites are typically located in communities throughout Essex, London, Kent and Suffolk, with the purpose of providing housing for those with a specific local connection to the community / villages. Those with a local connection, will be generally classified as having lived in the area with family, have employment in the area, or those who had to move away from the area because of a lack of affordable housing. Additionally, there is scope for other local residents to gain priority on Local Authority housing waiting lists by registering their details (perhaps those who might have otherwise not been considered a priority for housing). To be clear, Girls and Boys of Great Britain are only seeking to provide housing to British born residents.
Typically, the mixture of homes available will also be a broad range including smaller starter homes, flats, small family homes and single level bungalows.
Girls and Boys of Great Britain are seeking donations to enable future delivery of Affordable Homes in rural communities throughout Essex, London, Kent and Suffolk. These will benefit those residents with a historic, current and specific local connection to the area. Hence, the chosen name of our charity - Girls and Boys of Great Britain.
